Micaela Rodriguez, M.A.
Micaela Rodriguez is a fourth-year Ph.D. student in the Clinical Psychology program at UNC–Chapel Hill, currently completing a clinical practicum at Silber for the 2025–2026 academic year. Micaela grew up in Central Islip, NY, and attended Stony Brook University, where she majored in psychology with a concentration in women’s studies and minored in Hispanic languages and literature. Micaela is also bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish.
Bio:
After graduating, Micaela worked as a researcher at Stony Brook University in close partnership with Power of Two, a non-profit organization based in New York City that aims to leverage the science of attachment to promote the well-being of children, families, and communities. Currently, she is exploring how early adversity influences children’s neurobiological and behavioral development at UNC.
Clinically, Micaela has received training in evidence-based assessment and evidence-based treatment, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Behavior Activation Therapy, Parent Management Training, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She has worked at a university medical center and a community mental health clinic, collaborating with a variety of clients and their families while focusing on presenting issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.
At Silber, Micaela aims to create a safe and inclusive environment where her clients can pursue their personally meaningful goals for a fulfilling life.
