Learning Disorder Testing

For diagnostic purposes, our child psychologists begin with an initial parent interview to obtain medical, developmental, education, and family history.  We listen to what your concerns are and what has been done thus far to alleviate the problem.

School information is often obtained and consists of a review of grades, Individualized Education Plans (IEP’s), test scores or previous evaluations, if any, and rating scales.

Testing:

A battery of tests are administered and may include, depending upon referral issues:

Testing is usually done in 2 or more blocks of 2 hours each.  After the evaluation is completed, the parents can expect a meeting with our child psychologists to discuss the findings and recommendations.  A written report with recommendations is furnished to the parents.
